In order to contribute to the promotion of the culture and development of the video game sector as well as to the collaboration with international companies, Belgium has set up a support fund for companies specialized in the video game sector, allowing a financing system for audiovisual productions accessible to any studio wishing to collaborate on a project by associating with a Belgian studio.
Benefits
By developing a part of your video game in Belgium, you can benefit from a tax reduction: The financial interventions of the Funds constitute state subsidies allowing companies to invest part of their profits in the production of a new game in exchange for a tax exemption as long as it does not exceed 50% of the whole project.
